Genocidio En Rwanda
It is considered one of the worst acts committed by the humanity in the twentieth century in April 1994 with the largest number of ethnic people of Rwanda, the Hutus against theTutsis.
Million deaths around the country, which removed large percentage of the community in the period of the genocide, Hutus massacred the Tutsis because of the hatred that existed in the pastbetween these two ethnic groups in Africa.
Before independence, the Tutsi dominated Rwanda, with colonization and Belgian support, then when the Belgian authorities considered that the Tutsi wereexcessive demands, changed his behavior and began supporting the Hutu majority. Whit this situation has raised some strong conflicts between the two ethnic groups.
Two important facts were madestronger hate: the invasion of Rwanda by the RPF and massacres, Hutu killed by Tutsis, taking these two events did create a feeling Hutu anti- Tutsi in Rwanda.
The RPF began with the massacre in all the countryagainst the Tutsis, and started one of the worst tragedies of humanity; the Hutus began killing all Tutsis they saw, raped Tutsi women spreading AIDS in all the country. Creating fear of the Tutsisto be killed, for the Hutus was the same killing children and old people theirs goals were eliminate all the Tutsis, but in this moment international reactions were very slow and weak.
Finally inJuly 1994, the RPF takes over Kigali, the Rwandan capital, forcing the Hutu government and the radical Hutu militia to flee the country to the Congo.
Rwanda had lost a 10% of the total population as atragic consequence apart from the hundreds of thousands of Tutsis killed; it was like the arrival of millions of Hutu refugees from Rwanda into neighboring countries Burundi and Congo served as theorigin of the two wars that Congo has suffered at just thirteen years that left nearly four million dead between the two wars in the former Belgian colony.
