Gerard Way Biografia

Gerard Way was born April 9, 1977 in Summit, New Jersey He was raised in Belleville, New Jersey and first began singing publicly in the fourth grade, when he played the role of Peter Pan in a schoolmusical production. His maternal grandmother, Elena Lee Rush, was a great creative influence who taught him to sing, paint, and perform from a young age; he has said that "she has taught me everythingI know".
Deciding to pursue a career in the comic-book industry,[5] he attended the School of Visual Arts in New York  and graduate in 1999.
Gerard was working for cartoon network in NY cityduring th September 11, 2011 attacks , seeing the effects of the attacks literally said to himself: “forget the art, i´ve gotta get out of th basement, i´ve gotta make a difference”.
That was the momentwhen he dicided to make a band. So, he call his friend Matt Pelissier and write the song “SKYLINES and turnstiles”, and is talk about th september 11 attacks.
The others band mates are, in the basshis little brother Mikey way, the guitarist are Frank Iero and Ray Toro and the co-creator Matt Pelissier in the drums.
The first album come out in 2002 “ I brought you my bullets you broght me yourlove”.
Successively in 2004 “three cheers for a sweat revenge”, the second album come out with the hits: “i´m not okay”, “Helena”, and “the ghost of you”. This album is in memory of Elena lee rushgerard´s grandma, which die in 2003.
Later in 2006, the new album “the black pared” which won a grammy and many golden,and platinum certifications. This album have famous hits like: “welcome to thebalck pared!,”famous last words”, “I don´t love you” and “teenagers” wich video was the most visitatied on 2006.

Then they decide then is time to take a break during this time Gerard way get marriedwith Lyn-z the bass player of Mindless Self Indulgence and 2009 he have his daughter Bandit. And in 2007 he make the comic book named “the umbrella academy” wich won a Eisner Award
