There are many countries in the world and we should learn about them, because in that way we would know more about the people around us, especially inUnited States because here we have many people from many different countries. Cultures form part of our world. Culture depends on the country you are coming from. From one reason or other, all cultures aredifferent. We reveal our cultures from the way we dress, the way we talk, even the way we walk, but also culture is represented in our food, our religion, music, politics, languages and others. Eventhought a culture is represented by these things, many times countries share some of these things, such as religion, and the type of government. Here in college I took two very interesting classescalled Latin American Identities, which is about the culture and life of many different countries in Latin America, such as Colombia, and Spanish Civilization, that is about Spain and its culture. Inthis essay, I am going to talk about the gangs in Colombia and what effect do they have there, and also, I am going to talk about how is the royal life there.
In Latin American Identities I learned thatcountries such as Colombia suffer because of the gangs that are located there. One of the biggest gangs that they have in Colombia is “La Mara salvatrucha,” which takes people from the government tokill them or stay with them for years so that they can get money from the government or from their families. But that’s not all; “La Mara savatrucha” also takes kids away from their parents startingfrom an early age to make them become the soldier. They do this because it’s easier for them to manipulate kids mind. Something that is also happening is that they plant bombs everywhere aroundColombia, the effect from it is that many people has being killed because of that, and many people that safe their lives from those bombs loose a body part, such as a hand, or something else.
