It is well known that GM food is genetically altered food and nowadays is more commonly used in a wide range of countries, however surveys and researches indicatethat GM food can put in risk people´s lives, others, also say it can be the solution of one of the main problems in the world.
But, is it really a risk or a benefit? Is it going to affect the world population in a long term? Or scientist s are over reacting?

To begin with, GM food brings lots of advantages from the quick andeasy production of food (or volume of production), to the resistance, also implementation of vitamins and proteins to fruits or vegetables that doesn´t have thecapability to produce it by itself. For what is more, it helps the environment producing less chemical pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Overall, it´s clear that theadvantages are beneficial.

Even though that helps the environment in some way, this doesn´t mean that the chemicals applied to the soil to develop GM food doless harm to it, also it can affect the animals like birds or kinds of insect that tend to try this food on the fields, they can even cause genetic contamination tothem. On the other hand, there´s no proof that GM food had done any damage to humans, but in a long term way, scientist opine that it can introduce new toxins orallergies, bacterium's can develop resistance to certain treatments and so on.

Being realistic, until this very day there´s nothing wrong with GM food, yes, there isdrawbacks about the topic, but the benefits overtake those drawbacks and they can be hampered with the technological advantages that nowadays are being developed.
