Google is the greatest search engine in the world. It was created by Sergey Brin andLarry Page September 1997.

Biography:

* Sergey was born in the Soviet Union in 1973 and Larry was born in Michigan, same year. They met in 1995; they were studying in the Stamford University.Larry wanted to build something in technology, something different. They wanted to create a page where a page could link you to another. They wanted to create the world’s greatest search engine, toname it, they first thought of Googol (a 1 with a hundred zeros after it) but then they decided Google was friendlier, and they registered Goggle as a website September 1997.

* In 1998 theydropped out of their PHD programs, because they wanted to find founds for their company; Andie B., one of the founders of Microsoft’s system gave them $100 000, and after him they found some moreinvestors.

* They started working in a garage; incorporated Google on September 4th 1998. They hired their first employee Craig Silvestein. Google started spraying by word of mouth. Later they createdthe Goggle quarters, and they called it the Google place. This place was a really attractive and nice place to work at. Employees had free delicious food, day care, massages, and all kinds of stuff,that made people want to go to work early and leave late; so a lot of people wanted to work there, but at that time Google wasn’t making any money; they didn’t like the idea of using advertising, atleast not yet.

* The Google page was designed by Sergey; it was designed to be fast. A lot of people like its simplicity; when Sergey designed it he didn’t make it that way on purpose, he justdidn’t have a designer, and he wanted to do something fast, simple and clean.
