Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay, Scottish, his first big career break came while playing football for Oxford United, but then gave up professional football and returned to college to complete a course in hotelmanagement.
Ramsay moved to London, after a couple of years, next moved to Le Gavroche to work alongside Albert Roux. He then worked for three years in France, in the kitchens of Guy Savoy where he improvedhis experience in classic French cuisine.
In October 1993, Ramsay became chef at Aubergine, where he won two Michelin stars.
In 1998, at age 31, Ramsay opened his own restaurant, Gordon Ramsay, Ayear later he opened Pétrus, where at seven months won a Michelin star.
In June 2000, Ramsay won Chef of the Year and his restaurant, Gordon Ramsay, was voted the best restaurant in the UK, in 2001,the first restaurant Gordon Ramsay, won its third Michelin star.

Also Ramsay is known for presenting TV programmes about competitive cookery and food, such as the British series Hell's Kitchen, TheF Word, Ramsay's Best Restaurant,Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, Gordon's Great Escape and Gordon Behind Bars, along with the American versions of Hell's Kitchen, KitchenNightmares, MasterChef and Hotel Hell.
From his first restaurant, Ramsay's empire has expanded rapidly, first opening Petrus, where six bankers famously spent over £44,000 on wine during a single meal in 2001,[26] then Amaryllis inGlasgow (which he was later forced to close) and later Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's. Restaurants at the Dubai Creek and Connaught Hotels followed, the latter branded with his protégé, Angela Hartnett's,name.
