* Para formular el pretérito negativo con verbos que no sean be, coloque did not o didn't antes de la forma básica del verbo.
* Utilice did + sujeto + la forma básica del verbo para formular una pregunta de respuesta afirmativa onegativa en pretérito.
* Utilice did con todos los sujetos.
* Utilice yes + sujeto pronominal + did para formular una respuesta positiva corta a una pregunta de respuesta afirmativa o negativa en pretérito.
* Utilice no + sujeto pronominal + didn't para formular una respuesta negativa corta en pretérito.
* Para formular preguntas con palabras de pregunta en pretérito, utilice unapalabra de pregunta + did + sujeto + la forma básica del verbo.
* Las palabras de pregunta son what, when, where, who, why, y how.
* Para responder a este tipo de pregunta, utilice sujeto + el pretérito del verbo.

1. Yes/No Questions:

Use do or does + subject + the base form of the verb to make a question in the present tense when the answer is yes or no. Use do withthe subjects I/you/we/they. Use does with the subjects he/she/it

Examples:

* Do you like tea?
* Does she like chocolate?
* Do they have a dog?
* Does the restaurant have good food?

2. Short Answers

Use yes + subject + do/does, or use no + subject + don't/doesn't to make a short answer toa yes/no question in the present tense

Examples:

* Do you like tennis? Yes, we do. No, we don't
* Does she have a brother? Yes, she does. No, she doesn't

3. Questions with Question Words:

Use a question word + do/does + subject + the base form of the verb to make aquestion in the present tense when you want to ask for information. Question words are what, when, where, who, why, and how.
