GUANAJUATO
Considered the second colonial city
In the country after Mexico City, Guanajuato, capital of the state of the same name is full of splendid examples of mestizo architecture, valuablehistorical sites to wich they are received on a complex web of underground streets and avenues.
Our State is made up of 46 municipalities and its capital is the colonial city of Guanajuato, a WorldHeritage Site.
Due to its excellent geographical position, the entity is in a great variety of climates can be classified into three types: semi-dry, temperate and semi-warm.
LOCATION
Themunicipality is located in Region I-Northeast of the state, bordered in the north to San Felipe , on the east to Dolores Hidalgo and Salamanca to the south and west Irapuato Silao and Leon. Its limits arethe geographical coordinates of 101° 02´00’’and 101° 26’30’’ west longitude to the meridian of Greenwich and 20°48’42’’ 21°13’03’’ north latitude.
