GUARD YOUR TRUST
Do you agree that GOOD physical health is a precious possession? Yes!!!! When we are healthy, we can do many things and enjoy life more.
But when we are chronically sick or infirm, life is much more difficult. That’s why? Good health must be maintained.
Maintaining faith and spiritual health is more difficult.
it’s a challengebecause this world’s moral sickness is very contagious.
Christians can be infected from outside sources. It can spread to us from those who are spiritually dead. (Ephesians 2:1-3) If we are too close to them, we can pick up their attitudes and life-styles.
Also False teachings are like gangrene. (2 Timothy 2:16, 17) When it sets in, a portion of your flesh dies because life-giving blood has been cutoff from that part of the body.
13 BEFORE gangrene spreads! AND To prevent death, the doctor may have to amputate a part of the body. So, IN OUR CASE if doubts, complaints, or apostasy threaten to contaminate you spiritually cut them away quickly!

Today we are exposed to human knowledge as never before.
As never before, people have access to information on just about any subject. While thissituation has its positive aspects, such a superabundance of information has caused problems.
2 Some individuals have become information addicts, always feeding an insatiable desire to be up-to-date while neglecting more important things.
Others acquire partial information about complex fields of knowledge and then view themselves as experts.
Based on only a limited understanding, they maymake crucial decisions that can cause harm not only to themselves but also to others.
And always present is the danger of exposure to false or inaccurate information. There is often no reliable way to verify that the flood of information is accurate and balanced.
3 Curiosity has long been a human trait. King Solomon recognized the dangers of wasting too much time in the pursuit of useless oreven harmful information.

He said: “Take a warning: To the making of many books there is no end, and much devotion to them is wearisome to the flesh.” (Ecclesiastes 12:12)
Centuries later the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy: let’s read

LETS READ 2TIM 1:13, 14
What is “the pattern of healthful words”? The “healthful words” are “those of our Lord Jesus Christ”—true Christian teachings. (1 Tim. 6:3)
What Jesus taught and did was in harmony with God’s Word, thus the expression “healthful words” can also by extension refer to all Bible teachings.
These teachings can help us to see what Jehovah requires ofus.
We keep holding to this pattern by practicing what we have learned from the Bible.
Guarding that trust includes cultivating such things as good Bible-study habits and perseverance in prayer.
In harmony with these words
Are you determined to protect your faith and the body of truth with which you have been entrusted?

PURSUE “GODLY DEVOTION”
READ 1 TIM 4:6-8
WHAT IS GODLY DEVOTION?The Greek noun for “godly devotion” (eu·se′bei·a) may be translated literally as “well-reverencing. It denotes a warm heartfelt feeling toward God.
5 The expression “godly devotion” therefore refers to the reverence or devotion for Jehovah that moves us to do what is pleasing to him. This is done even in the face of difficult trials because we love God from the heart. Jesus Christ was the one manto manifest godly devotion perfectly, in every sense, proving that man in the flesh can maintain such devotion. Under severe trials, right down to the end of his earthly course Jesus was “loyal, guileless, undefiled, separated from the sinners.” (Heb 7:26) No flaw could be found in his integrity, to accuse him before God.

So godly devotion is: a loyal, personal attachment to Jehovah that...
