Guelaguetza (Tradition)

Guelaguetza is a Zapotec word meaning gift or present. In a broad way, is a generous act of giving, when the occasion arises, and always will be reciprocated by the one who received it.
PARTYThe Guelaguetza includes a traditional celebration in Oaxaca, where the eight regions of the state offer to the world their costumes, dances, traditions and typical products of each region.
TheGuelaguetza of the hill of Monday, is celebrated the two Mondays following July 16, is often performed in the second and third Monday after 16, that it because is the anniversary of the death of BenitoJuarez.
It dates back to 1932, this year met the state's ethnic groups to live after the festivities of the Virgen del Carmen, since this year it has done.
