Take a gun, personal o government decision?
What happened when you o someone of your family is victim of a criminal? What do you do? One week ago someone stolen my cell phone, and I didn’t benothing; I saw where the criminal live but not is enough. And thought what will happen if I had had a gun? Maybe I still have my phone or maybe a tragedy, but if the criminal had had the gun? In this paperI present arguments about favor and against gun control, but is a personal decision.
Other factor that affects the gun position is about culture around guns. In one hand people see the guns like atools to protect them families, in the other hand gun would be a power tool, some that make feeling superior to others. The principal pros and cons about gun control:
Pros of Gun Control
* Thebottom line is that a gun is a lethal weapon and its only function is to kill, the fewer people have them the better it is. If firearms were less prevalent in society, criminals would have greaterdifficulty in laying hands on them. Thus a lesser possibility of firearms falling in the hands of teenagers or children, preventing a tragedy like the Columbine High School massacre.
* Sport shooting, orhunting, or a gun culture that glamorizes and legitimizes unnecessary gun ownership can desensitize ordinary people to the fatal effects of guns and firearms in general. retail firearms traders orindividual gun owners can be given compensation if a ban is implemented.
* There will be a stringent check on the ownership of all firearms and the number of manufactured firearms. The immediateresult would be virtually no violent crime. There will indeed be incidences of shop lifting or house theft, but no guns would be involved, thereby no deaths from the incidences.
