Sources of energy:
Source of energy | Positive | Negative |
Hydro electric:Moving water has energy. | It causes little pollution and it will be always available as long as it rainsor snows. | Building such dams can be damaging to the environment. |
Solar:Energy from the sun is called solar energy. | The abundance of solar energy and the environmental benefits. |The space it uses, the maintenance of solar panels and when the weather is bad they don´t work. |
Nuclear:Nuclear energy is energy that comes from the nuclei, or centers, of atoms. |Nuclear energy is clean, it does not release any pollution and it reduces our need of fossil fuels. | The use of radioactive materials. |
Wind:Moving air, or wind, contains energy. |Wind energy is clean, is a renewable and sustainable resource. | The strength of the wind sometimes is low and wind turbines generate a lot of sound. |
Fossil:When plants and animals die, some energy is still stored in the tissues of their bodies. | Fossil fuels contains a high level of carbon and are easily combusted with a high degree of heat generation. | Fossil fuelsmake a lot of air pollution and helps the global warming. |

Decision to be made:

Solar energy | Nuclear energy | Wind energy |

Solar energy advantages are the abundanceand the environmental benefits it has. | Nuclear energy advantages are that it is clean, it does not release any pollutions and it reduces our need of fossil fuels. | Wind energy advantagesare that it is clean, is renewable and sustaintable. |

Solar energy disadvantages are the space it uses, the maintenance of solar panels and when the weather is bad it doesn´t works.| Nuclear energy disadvantages is the use of radioactive materials. | Wind energy disadvantages are the strength of the wind is sometimes low and wind turbines generates a lot of sound. |
