My name is Manuela and I'm going to talk about one of my favourite hobbies nowadays from five years, more or less, hiking.
Hiking is an outdoor activity which consists of walking in naturalenvironments, such as mountains, along riverbanks or through forests.
It is a popular activity worldwide, because the benefits of walking for physical and mental health are very important and well know. Itcan help to make longer our lives in good conditions and self-governing.
But there are other reasons to practice this activity, hiking is an excellent manner to get some exercise; unlike othersports everyone can walk, it is enough that they decide to do it.
It is also one way to enjoy spending our free time, hiking relaxes mind and body
There are three main kinds of reasons to practicehiking.
Between the physical health reasons may be include the following:
- Hiking reduces the risk of heart disease because it improves blood circulation and high blood pressure.

- It helps tobuild stronger bones and muscles, increases strength and helps to keep sense of balance, for the reason that it works different muscles in different ways by irregular ground in hiking trails

- It canhelp with control weight; a healthy weight is the basis of a healthy body. Regular exercise, such as hiking, burns a lot of calories, depending on walking speed and difficulty of the trails

-Hiking helps to prevent and control other diseases
Regular hiking can help to prevent, diabetes, osteoporosis or arthritis and it helps to decrease your possibility of developing some cancers

• Themental health reasons

- It can be a great way to get away the daily stress in your life, it is a good way to break routine, because walking into valleys or across mountains has a calming effect.
-It can help to see problems from other point of view; it will be easy open your mind and forget your worries for a while. You might find new ideas or answers that they have not been considered before...
