Handbook Mecanico
* Technician Vocabulary / Vocabulario Técnico
* Millimeter (mm). Measure of length which is equal to one thousandth part of a meter.
* Centimeter (cm). Measure of length which is equal to one hundredth part of a meter.
* Meter (m). Is the base unit of length in the International System of Units
* Inches (in). Measure of length ofthe English system equal a 2.54 centimeter.
* Foot (ft). Is a unit of length defined as being 0.3048 m exactly or 12 inches.
* Screw. Hold pieces with the same that can be disassembled when the occasion demands.
* Gear. Device used to transmit power from one component to another into a machine.
* Roughness. The texture of a surface.
* Hand operation. Operation of themachine in mode manual.
* Steel. Alloy made by combining iron and other elements, the most common of these being carbon.
* Aluminum. Is a relatively soft, durable, lightweight, ductile and malleable metal with appearance ranging from silver to dull gray, depending on the surface roughness.
* Bronze. Is a metal alloy consisting primarily of copper, usually with tin as the mainadditive.
* Cooper. Is a ductile metal with very high thermal and electrical conductivity.
* Stainless steel. Is defined as a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5% to 11% chromium content by mass.
* Work Processes / Procesos de Trabajo
* Turning. This operation is one of the most basic machining processes. That is, the part is rotated while a single point cutting tool is movedparallel to the axis of rotation.
* Milling. Process of machining surfaces, which consists of the removed progressive a certain quantity of material of the workpiece with a value of feed with a relatively low and high rotational speed.
* Drilling. Cutting process that uses a drill bit to cut or enlarge a hole of circular cross-section in solid materials.
* Rectified. Correct theimperfections of geometric and dimensional character that are produced during the manufacturing operations of pieces.
* Screwed. Is the machining the workpiece in coils of external surfaces (screw) or holes (nut) on a circular surface.
* Countersunk. Conical sink around a hole where there is the head of a screw which is flush on the surface and does not protrude from it.
*Facing. Operation performed on the wheel through which machines the end of the piece, in the plane perpendicular to the axis of rotation.
* Grinding. Finishing process used to improve surface finish, abrade hard materials, and tighten the tolerance on flat and cylindrical surfaces by removing a small amount of material.
* Punching. Is the action that runs a mold "punch" when pressed againsta material by a press.
* Shearing. Is the separation of without shaving of plates and profiles.
* Things to improve at work / Cosas para mejorar en el trabajo
* Clean of the work area. A clean work area making a good impression of the company, besides that prevents accidents.
* Order of the work tools. Is easier to find the work tools if these are organized and placed in aspecific place.
* Appropriate illumination. The appropriate illumination helps a the operator to perform in an optimal way if he works in the night or a dark place.
* Machines in good conditions. If the machines are in a good condition, can prevent sudden work stoppages and prevent accidents to the operator.
* Tools in good conditions. The tools always be found at optimalcondition to make any work, which is specific for each tool.
* Maintenance program to machines. Help to the machines to stay in good conditions.
* Define work areas. Helps to the operator to recognize the areas which he can work and which he can’t work.
* Things I would like to improve / Cosas que me gustaria mejorar
* Improve the system of personnel training. The most...
