Henrik Ibsen was one of the most innovators Norwegian dramatists of the universal theater, criticizing the damage of high society and creating women characters full ofpersonalities. Ibsen was born in an era where Norway was repeatedly fighting for its existence. It was the worst economic depression in its history. He was born in a coast town where his father owned adistillery that broke when he was a child, so they had to go outside of town. He had to walk five miles to go to school, what makes him an introverted and lonely person. Although he went to a religiousschool, he declared atheist; he would remain until he was a teen, but the economic needs force him to move to the small town to work during several years as a pharmacist helper. After Ibsen worked in thepharmacy he decided to return to the school but his economic situation didn’t let him continue his studies, so he choose to survive by his works. Being eloquent “that a writer from a small,peripheral, and poverty-stricken country should become an epoch-making dramatist is one of the happy accidents of literary history.’’
It all started when his mother inspired him to read, to draw, to imagineartistic things as a child; this is how Ibsen began to let his imaginations go surrounded by a crude and cold atmosphere .He wrote a short piece saying how his childhood was hard. But not everything wassadness for Ibsen; because when he was young he had several loves, from his platonic love up to a divorced woman with a child who was much older than Ibsen; which had a little relationship. That’swhen he started writing his first poems of love.
His first play was made with some friends and was about a common history of the Romans, after trying and failing to enter college; he decided to writeplays for the rest of his life and that's how he started writing stories about what was surrounding him, always trying to describe cases of people running through very difficult moments full of...
