Henry Ford
He was born July 30, 1863 and was the first child of 6 children.
He grew up in a farm settled in what nowadays is Dearborn, Michigan.
When he was 8 he showed an interest in mechanicalthings and disliked farm work.
He turned 16 and decided to move to a nearby city to work as a apprentice machinist. During that time he used to repair steam engines, help his father in the farm,having an occasional job at a factory, between other activities.
Later on, he started running a sawmill after getting married in 1888 to Clara Bryant.

In 1891, Ford became an engineer with the EdisonIlluminating Company in Detroit. And 2 years later after becoming Chief Engineer he had a chance to start making his own experiments on internal combustion engine. This was a very meaningful decisionconsidering that he would dedicated his life from this moment on to industrial pursuits.
In 1896 he completes his first own vehicle called the Quadricycle, which was steered with a tiller like a boatand had only 2 forward speeds.
Although he was not the first one to build a vehicle with a gasoline engine, he help the automobile to become what we know nowadays a car.

In 1903 the Ford MotorCompany was finally established after 2 unsuccessful attempts. As it was just stating, it only produced a few cars a day.
Model T was produced 5 years after creating Ford’s Company, it was Henry’sgreat achievement, he had always dreamed to build a reasonably priced, reliable, and efficient car; besides it transformed personal transportation. By 1918, half of all cars in America were Model Ts, forthis reason they had to open a new factory 2 years later in Michigan and it all improved in 1913 with a moving assembly line while people still worked there adding some parts and gadgets to the carwhile it all moved around them. This fact revolutionized completely automobile production, it made things faster and cheaper.
