•“On theobjectivity of the sociological and sociopolitical knowledge” where it proposed a methodology to study them social phenomena.
Weber analyzed deeply to the organizations from different points of view. Their contributions to the administration were very important, but 20 years were recognized later.

General characteristics of the structuralist school

The bureaucratic theory had its origin in theorganizational needs of order and precision, as well as in the demand of an impartial treatment to the workers. The structuralist current tries to balance the resources of the company, rendering attention to its structure as to the human resource as much, approaching aspects such as the correspondence between the formal and informal organization, the personal objectives of the organization andobjectives and between the material and social stimuli. It must like primary target study the problems of the companies and their causes rendering special attention to the authority aspects and communication.

It considers that there are four common elements to all the companies: authority, communication, structure of behavior, structure of formalization. It analyzes the conflicts that are generatedby the own contractions of the structure and the disfuncionamiento, classifying them to facilitate his handling.

Development of subject

Max Weber entered its analysis in those areas of interest in which the economy and sociology were related thus to be able to interpret them motivations of the conduct. He was the first sociologist who studied the organizations according to ideal models ofbehavior and developed a bureaucratic model, which considered applicable to the capitalist societies like thus also to those of type socialist. It considers to the bureaucracy like the unique one half to maximize the efficiency, the yield of any order of organizations. It is based on a concept of legitimate authority, unlike the classic concept of authority of divine origin, since, considers thatit is a tool to impose the will of a person on the behavior of others and that there are who can exert it and who no, therefore she focused his attention on the power and the legitimation of the authority.

A systematic organization of work exists, bringing with himself an efficiency of the organization by means of a rational division of work. The positions settle down according to a hierarchyprinciple, doing so no position remains without control nor supervision. The activities evolve according to the standards defined according to the objectives of the organization.

With the bureaucracy the administrator like a professional arises, somebody specialized in the organization, thus distinguishing to the leader of capitalist proprietor. A specialization of the participants within theorganization exists; specialists, employees, supervisors, people who will toil per defined and indefinite time.

The development of model is based on a series of norms that regulate the behavior of the members of the organization, conferring to them that way a high level of security from prediction of the awaited behaviors. These norms, previously established, include all the areas of organizationanticipating the facts and handling a defined scheme. The rules and norms regulate the conduct of person in charge of each position, whereas the actions and procedures are made to provide verification and documentation, assuring the interpretation the communications.
