The first game of the new Tigers was theJuly 13, 1967 at the University, where Jose de Jesus "Triquis" Morales scored the first goal of the new season and, with another of his, drew 2-2 against Orizaba.
Withjust one year in the maximum circuit, the Tigers won the UEFA Cup 1975-1976 season giving the city of Monterrey's first major title in its history.
