El derecho ha pasado varias etapas para llegar a la evolución que tiene en estos momentos. Ha tomado ciertos puntos de varias culturas y es distinto en los diferentes lugaresdel mundo, ya sea influenciado por su religión, creencias, sistema que los rige, su gobierno o hasta por el que está al frente de ellos (gobernante, rey… etc.).
Estudiar su historia nos ayuda a comprenderlo, a saber de dónde surgió, que necesidad cubría y cubre, hasta a corregir errores del pasado, en las leyes o en la sanción que tenían los delitos.INGLATERRA
