My leader 1970
Dolores Huerta is a hard worker woman that is always fighting for justice and equality in United States. She was born in Arizona on April 10th of 1930, In her childhood her mom taughther to be compassionate and when she grew up she became a teacher. She thought that she could do more for people than just try to teach their hungry kids. This point was why she began herorganization fighting against workers abuse. For all of these reasons I believe that Dolores Huerta is a great leader.
Against abuse Dolores Huerta organized many manifestations. She defended Latino, women andchildren’s rights. The discrimination was one of the main areas where she worked many years to get equal conditions for farm workers. She made an organization called The Agricultural WorkersAssociation in 1960. She brought together many people from organizations to keep fighting for equal conditions until them received them.
Dolores is a successful person. Actually she has many achievements asthe bill to permit people to take driver’s examination in Spanish that was approved in 1960. This was the first goal completed and evidence of the change that her voice can do, also a few years latershe did Bracero program and California Agricultural labor relations acts. Those things made the laws fair to workers.
The encourage and forces that Dolores Huerta shows us that is a determined person.She is actually 82 years old and keeps supporting her organization fighting against abuse towards workers. Her organization has many supporters that help to make this country a fair place. The workof this organization is reflected in farms today. The conditions of farms are better than before, when no one made anymore to defend workers.
In conclusion Dolores Huerta is a great example of asuccessful leader even though nothing was easy for her. She and her organization do the difference in the life’s quality of farm workers. She for her labor received a Honor Freedom Medal from President...
