Dear Reverend Byron Day,

I, John Hanlon, wouldlike to send you help. I agree with you stand against the wrongful school district. Because of Hurricane Katrina, I deeply feel your condolences. Also I agree with you on the fact of New Orleansgetting schools that are predominantly white, opened first. I don’t agree with you on the fact that they are trying to discourage the children. Maybe the parents of the schools that were fixed first,had more money to sponsor quicker buildings. I don’t think the United States government would try to discourage children, no matter what their race, gender, or social class is. If only a smallportion of the United States is educated and participating in the economy the power will go to them. This means that the U.S. might turn into an oligarchy. That is not America’s goal. America want tohelp everybody get involved and let everybody have a say. I agree with many of you points Mr. Day, but I do not agree with the idea that America is trying to rule people due to race, gender, or evensocial class.
