London has a real variety of Christmas markets; from charity Christmas markets, to designer fairs where you can get some reallyexciting Christmas presents.
Here are some of our London Christmas market and Christmas shopping recommendations:
Cologne Christmas Market at the Southbank Centre
Londoners love nothing betterthan browsing traditional German markets at Christmas and, thankfully, you don't have to leave the capital to get your gingerbread and "gluhwein". Along London's Southbank, between the Southbank Centreand London Eye, a German-style market is serving up tempting foods, arts and crafts. As well as browsing the 60 chalet stalls, you can enjoy a traditional carousel. This year, Southbank is also hostinga Christmas Chocolate Festival (9-11 Dec) and the Real Food Christmas Market (16-23 Dec).

WinterWonderland Market, Hyde Park
There are more than 100 stalls to explore at the Winter Wonderland 2011 Angels Christmas Market, piled high with arts and crafts from around the world, as well ascontinental food and drink, plus traditional English fare. Entry is free and while you're there you can also enjoy Winter Wonderland's funfair and outdoor ice rink (you will need to pay for rides and iceskating).

Contemporary Applied Arts Christmas Exhibition
If you're looking for something really special this Christmas, head tothe Contemporary Applied Arts (CAA) Christmas exhibition, Present Collectibles. Held at the CAA in Percy Street, this sale exhibition features beautiful, limited-edition decorations made by the UK'smost celebrated designers and makers working in glass, metal, ceramics and textiles. There are also craft workshops for kids so they can make their own gifts.
