1 What is Psychology?
A science that studies the human behavior, it is about 100 years old and is a fusion of two major sciences: philosophy and physiology.
2 What are the 3basic ingredients of human being?
The human being needs three basic ingredients:
- Body
- Soul
- Spirit
3 Why is the soul considered invisible?
It’s considered invisible because the soul ismade of ideas, faith, logic, feelings etc. which you cannot actually see.
4 How does our mind work?
The mind processes thoughts and ideas, everything we do starts with something that happened in ourmind or imagination.
5 What is stress and how can we react to it?
Stress is the body's reaction to a change that requires a physical, mental or emotional adjustment or response. There are two typesof ways stress manifests itself, physically and emotionally.

6What are some physical manifestations of stress?
-headaches
-ulcers
-hair loss
-arthritis
7 What are some emotional manifestationsof stress?
-Anger
-Sadness
-Depression
8 What is a stressor?
An agent, condition, or other stimulus that causes stress to an organism.
9 Who was Hans Seyle?
He was an endocrinologist andchemist, he studied stressors and also created the General Adaptation Syndrome.
10 What does GAS stand for?
General Adaptation Syndrome.
11 What are the three stages of the general adaptation syndrome?Stage 1 = Alarmed Reaction
Stage 2 = Resistance.
Stage 3 = Divides into two: - Exhaustion, - Normal.
12 What happens during stage 1?
Stage 1 = Alarmed Reaction this segregates a hormone calledepinephrine; similar to adrenaline. It is the opposite of melatonin. If your epinephrine goes high melatonin goes low and vice versa.

13 What happens during stage 2?
Stage 2 = Resistance. Duringthis stage two things can happen, the person either collapses or adapts. People who adapt can find their way back to their normal stage easier.
