Choosing A Topic
In the first power point presentation of module 1 there is a certain level of understanding in regards to how hard it is to start choosing a topic. Certainly we tend to askourselves many questions when we are going to pick a subject or topic to write from , and with just a few slides we learn of different ways to cope with the process of choosing. Once we have our topicwe have to choose a side, meaning advocacy or persuation. From there we must begin to relate our past experiences, search for facts that will give more credentials to our topic, brainstorm andwrite down everything we can come up with.
Shaping Your Topic
The second presentation is all about how you as a writer can start giving shape to your newly chosen topic. As a first step youmust first choose a subject or area of interest. Here you will look into your personal life and pick what best suits your personality. This way you will have less problems while the writing processtakes place. While the first step entittles that you have a subject or interest, the second step is a bit eassier since you will start conducting a preliminary search into specific areas of the yourchosen subject. Steps three and up tell you how it is important to evaluate the citations and quotes or pieces of information that you will be using. It is very important that you choose thosecarefully since they will make your topic either much more convincing or make it look more one sided .
Organizing Your Argument
As a culmination to the module, the third power point presentationdefines what an argument is and how to organize it. In one of the slides it teaches us how to pose an opposing argument so as a writer we establish much more credability. It is clearly emphasizedon how important is to include it and to counter argue the opposing side. The presentation also shows the process of how a tittle is chosen and how to distribute the argument within the writing.
