he second conditional syntax is:

If (past) .... would/could + verb
Or
would/could + verb ... If (past)
Examples:

If I had a million dollars Iwould travel all around the world.
If I saw Brat Pitt in the street I wouTld faint (desmayarse)
I wouldn't call him if I were you.

Note:

When you usesecond conditional you can put the to be verb (were) with the Pronoun I

If I WERE you I would take a vacation

This is very common in 2nd conditional and Irecommend using it.

USE:
We use second conditional to talk and express hypothetical cases. We use it to describe imaginary situations.

If I had amillion dollars (I don't have a million dollars) I would buy a Ferrari (This is what I would do with the million dollars) .

Si (pasado) .... sería / podría verbo +
o
would / + verbo podría ... Si (en el pasado)
Ejemplos:

Si yo tuviera un millón de dólares que viajaríapor todo el mundo.

Yo no lo llamaría si fuera usted.

Nota:

Cuando se utiliza segundocondicional usted puede poner el verbo ser (fueron) con el pronombre I

Si yo fuera tú, me tomaría unas vacaciones

Esto es muy común en la segundacondicional y recomiendo su uso.

USO:
Utilizamos segundo condicional para hablar y expresar casos hipotéticos. Lo usamos para describir situaciones imaginarias.Si yo tuviera un millón de dólares (no tengo un millón de dólares) Me gustaría comprar un Ferrari (Esto es lo que yo haría con el millón de dólares).
