THE POSITIVE AND NEGATIVE SOCIAL CHANGES EN CALI DURING CENTURY XX AND XXI

Over the last years we have seen commentaries of thepeople saying “Cali is not what it was” or “The Cali’s society has changed so much”, but what the reasons that made the people to think this? And why the society haspresence this change?
In the XX century, the people used to be polite; the gentlemen give his respect to the ladies although she was an unknown person, but now we cansee the violence, the abuse and many other things to degrade the woman. One of the reasons we could mention is the influence of the foreign nations and their behaviorand culture, which is not like our behavior should be.
Another reason for this change could be the equality of the rights. With the women’s rights the societyconsiders the woman with the same way to behave that with a man, so no one doesn’t matter if we are polite or not with the women. Also we could include the unrespect to the lawof the people, especially with the theme of the violence, which is not such as important as other things.
The last reason we could mention is the narcotrafficking,which since the 80’s, the society has changed radically his way of thinking, putting firstly the material before some more important things like the family or thetraditional values that was so characteristic in the families and Cali’s society.
In conclusion, I could say that our society hasn’t learned the meaning of the honesty,tolerancy, justice, equality, etc. That because we can’t live in harmony and peace, so we have to learn and teach how to have a better relationship with each other.
