ACT I

Narrator: Our story begins in the streets of a city like ours, a city who had forgotten nature, who had forgotten the smell of the fresh grass in the morning, in this city lives ‘‘the cockroach man’’ a living thing that the people see only whenthey're terrified and disgusted. In this city lives juan as well, a 12 years old boy who usually plays with his friend in the corner where ‘‘the cockroach man’’ lives inside his sewer.

(Juan and his friend play with a ball, ‘‘the cockroach man’’ appears in the secen, two fo the kids see him and back off, Juan and Victor are still plaing with the ball, Juan kicks the ball and get in front of ‘’ thecockroach man’’, he takes the ball and called juan with a hand gesture)

Cockroach man: Hey kid, come and get your ball!
Victor: Juan don't go, he will kidnappe you.
Juan: Who is he?
Cockroach man: Don't you want it?
Diego: He is the Cockroach man, he is a urban legend, they say that inside his sewer he has bodies of dead cats for eating for dinner.

(Cockroach man starts approaching, thekids scream and run, Juan just gets petrified)

Cockroach man: Hey i was talking to you, didn't you hear me?
Juan: No........well, yes.
Cockroach man: Why did your friends leave?
Juan: umm, umm i don't know they are sc.....sc....sccca
Cockroach man: Scared?
Juan: That yes yes
Cockroach man: do they think i have kids for breakfast?
Juan: ca.....cats
Cockroach man: I don't like Chinesefood.

(Juan gets speechless, he doesn't know what to answer and both get in silence for a few seconds)

Cockroach man: Well I don't have all day, here is your ball, be careful next time, you shouldn't be playing on the street, a car might run over you.

(Cockroach man gives the ball to Juan, says goodbye with a hand gesture and leaves the scene, the kids return with Juan who keeps looking inthe direction where the stranger left)

Gabriel: What happened? what did he say?
Victor: Are you ok? did he do something to you?
Diego: Is it true that he have fangs and his eyes are entirely black?
Juan: No, he just gave me the ball, he is kind of weird.
Diego: Of course he is, he is the Cockroach man.

(the kids pull juan who keeps looking at the same place and they leave with him)

ENDOF THE ACT


ACT II

Narrator: Many days passed and Juan couldnt get the Cockroach man out of his mind, why does everybody fear him? he asked to himself many times, when the doubt was extremely big he decided to go and asked the Cockroach man himself.

(Juan arrives to the same street where he played with his friends and in the exact moment the Cockroach man appear, a woman passing bylooked at him with hatred)

Miss: Leave this Town!

(Cockroach man keep walking without paying attention to the lady, and when look up he saw Juan coming )

Cockroach man: Hey little buddy, can you talk?
Juan: Hey.... Hi, that lady was pretty rude to you.
Cockroach man: Who? you know, my ears doesn't hear the bad things because my mind is always thinking in good stuff, know what I mean?
Juan:I guess so, but what is your name?
Cockroach man: You know my name, I’m the Cockroach man, thats how your friends call me.
Juan: Why Cockroach man?
Cockroach man: Cause Im dirty, dirty, Dirty and I live in a sewer just like a Cockroach.
Juan: But what is your name?, the one your parents gave to you.
Cockroach man: It has been so long the people call me Cockroach man, I dont even remember myreal name, but i like the way they call me, it suits my personality.... by the way, why did you wanna see me?
Juan: I wanted to ask you a question
Cockroach man: I love questions, every single one of them have an answer, so tell me whats your question?
Juan: Why does the people fear you?
Cockroach man: Tell me what your name?
Juan: Juan
Cockroach man: Juan besides me, do you know any other...
