Abstract
What is the real cause of homosexuality? This question has single handedly baffled scientists, researchers and investigators for more than 40 years. Although there is no real answer to this question, there are a fewthings that have been discovered and proven to be certain. First of all, homosexuality is not a disease and is nor curable or contagious. Secondly, it is not a mental disorder or is connected to any psychological illness or syndrome. And finally, that it is not a choice. This extended essay recounts the most important “discoveries” and findings as to what causes homosexuality. The aspiration ofthis research paper is not to discover in fact what causes homosexuality. Instead it takes into account, the more significant and reliable results found in studies and by doing so, it allows the reader to develop a more clear and better understanding of homosexuality as a whole.
The first chapter entitled sexual orientation serves mostly to inform and explain the differences that lie beneathsexual behavior and orientation. Since your sexual behavior doesn’t determine your sexual orientation, many people practice same sex relations but don’t consider themselves as homosexuals. It is important to comprehend what sexual orientation is, and what it really accounts for. The following two chapters account for all the known theories of what causes homosexuality. All theories are taken intoconsideration for abbreviating the conclusive statement to this extended.
The conclusion statement displays that although no known cause for homosexuality has been found, every person can conjure and create a personal opinion, but based solely of facts. Until a set cause for homosexuality is found, this extended essay appoints to a simple suggestion that society should accept homosexualityfor what it really is; a natural and normal feature that is a part of someone’s life.

Are you born or are you made gay? Homosexuality has been around us since the beginning of time from Egyptians to Romans, history has shown us that homosexuality is not something new; instead, it’s only come to our attention now inthe present due to the fact that homosexuals are considered more or less equal to heterosexual people nowadays. If we look at the past and it’s comparison with the present, we can’t seem that the Homosexual community has slowly but surely gained more attention and acceptance. Even though homosexuality is widely accepted now in the present we still can’t seem to figure out why homosexuals are, theway they are.
Different studies have been made on homosexuality throughout the twenty first century, but all of them have been inconclusive. We are in an age where touch screen mobile phones are an everyday thing, but we still cannot find the reasons why people become or are born homosexuals. There are so many theories and so much controversy about whether people indeed become or are born gay...
