METALLICA

Metallica (pronounced /mɛ.ˈtæ.lɪ.kə/) is an American heavy metal band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1981. Founded when drummer Lars Ulrich posted an advertisement in a localnewspaper, Metallica's line-up has primarily consisted of Ulrich, rhythm guitarist and vocalist James Hetfield and lead guitarist Kirk Hammett, while going through a number of bassists. Currently, thespot is held by Robert Trujillo.

James Alan Hetfield (born August, 3, 1963) is the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and co-founder of the American heavy metal band Metallica.
Lars Ulrich (bornDecember 26, 1963) is a Danish drummer best known as one of the founders of American heavy metal band Metallica. He was born in Gentofte, Denmark to an upper-middle class family.[1] A tennis prodigy in hisyouth, Ulrich moved to Los Angeles, California at age seventeen to pursue his training, but instead of playing tennis, he ended up as a drummer. After publishing an advertisement in a local LosAngeles newspaper called The Recycler, he met James Hetfield and formed Metallica.
Kirk Lee Hammett (born November 18, 1962) is the lead guitarist and a songwriter in the band Metallica and has been amember of the band since 1983. Before joining Metallica he formed and named the band Exodus. In 2003 Kirk Hammett was ranked 11th in Rolling Stone's list - The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.[1]Robert Trujillo born Roberto Agustín Miguel Santiago Samuel Trujillo Veracruz on October 23, 1964[1]) is a Mexican-American bassist who is currently in Metallica, but has also played with SuicidalTendencies, Infectious Grooves, Black Label Society, Jerry Cantrell, and Ozzy Osbourne's band.
