CHAPTER 1 ‘’Yet the more open we are to suggestions, the more likely it is that there will be benefits.’’ | We must keep an open mind to embrace new ideas, to wait untilwe know all the facts before having an opinion or making a judgment. We are presented with new ideas every day of our lives. Someone with an open mind is a person who is willing to accept new ideasand beliefs.An open mind will allow us to make better decisions in our lives, while at the same time helping us to become more understanding and sympathetic persons. Lack of knowledge, or ignorance,on a subject can be avoided by having an open-minded attitude.EXAMPLE:The companies that have developed innovative products have always kept an open mind, Steve Jobbs was fascinated by computers froma young age, he developed ‘’Apple’’ enterprise. Along the way he captured the hearts and imaginations of people everywhere marketing products people didn't even know they needed an now everybodywant them. |
CHAPTER 2‘’Success is not something that once you achieve it is guaranteed forever.’’ | I have read that success is journey not a destination, I think that Success is about getting allthat you wanted to have by working extremely hard ;it’s finding that you have achieved your goals and that you have enjoyed the process. The only people who succeed in life are the persistent, thosewho continue working right to the end until they get what they want even if everything was against them and even if they failed many times.EXAMPLE:My sister and boyfriend wanted to buy an apartment.Financially, this would be a real stretch for them. Through the process of goal setting, and developing action plans, they were able to achieve their goal. They now have the home of their dreams.They have also set new early retirement goals for themselves, they have planned how they will afford their children’s educations, and are diligently working towards realizing each dream they have....
