A good Teacher
I remember when I was in the primary, secondary and preparatory, I didn’t had a good teacher, but in those times I didn´t realize either. It’s because Ididn’t have an idea of how a good teacher has to be. I mean, if all of those teachers were how now they are teaching me, I would be a better person in all the ways, not only good in maths, or English forexample, my knowledge could go beyond.
First of all, to be good in something, you have to love it, to feel passion about it. It’s difficult to do something that you don’t like. So to start, a goodteacher has to love to teach. Ok, now you like to teach, but is that all you have to do to be a good teacher? Not at all, you have to have very closed some values. Respect for example, you have to respectyou students so they will respect you. Other important thing is that you have to now certain duties, for example punctuality, order, formality, etc.
Another fact that is important to me is that theteacher has to focuses also in competences, in other words, the teacher has to prepare me to be good in all around the world, as good in Mexico as in England. If the teacher doesn’t give me theweapons to be good in the world, the knowledge that he teach me, doesn’t work.
I summary, a good teacher for me, is the one that teach not only his subject but in the world, also of how to use thethings that taught me. Using values and duties, so that’s how I will be a good person, a good professional and a good soul. For me, that is the global aim for all the teachers. Sadly, here in Mexico themost of the teachers doesn’t care about that, just to earn his money, and that all.
