Starting and managing administrative and academically a privately own school (La Ceiba)


General objective
To evaluate the basic steps to manage properly and successfully a private school for it to become a recognize institution.


Specific Objective
1. To analyze the effectiveness of communication in a school
2. To explain the benefits of a wellmanage publicity campaign










Introduction
Starting and managing a school in El Salvador is one of the most complex tasks anyone could face. School leaders need to understand the change process in order to lead and manage efforts effectively. They must learn to overcome barriers such as political instability by this I mean that private bilingual schools don’t have yeta clear picture of how the MINED would evaluate them. Principals and other key school leaders should help teachers build effective teams by developing new organizational structures and crating a clear vision that focuses on authentic student learning, this is critical to the success of a new school.  Successful schools improvement requires establishing a clear educational vision and a sharedinstitutional mission, Identifying areas for improvement or what the ministry of education here calls FODA. Once a school knows where it wants to head and identifies its weaknesses and strengths, it can develop plans to change educational activities and programs, and implement those plans or new programs successfully. Some problems administrators find when starting a school are communication andpublicity, these could become the downfall of an institution especially since in San Salvador we have many bilingual schools competing amongst themselves. Schools such as the British, American, German and French don’t need to advertise because they are huge institutions that get help from their countries. On the other hand a smaller school, such as La Ceiba would benefit from a well manage publicitycampaign.









Methodology






My goal is to inform and discuss the basic steps to manage properly and successfully a private school. I believe a school should be a positive environment for everyone; this can be accomplished if only the administration has a well defined plan and strategy. Communication is another factor I think is extremely important toaccomplish .True communication is about connections. If I need something from you I need to connect with you so that you are persuaded to assist me. The same is true if you need something from me. Thus, it’s fair to say that the words “communication” and “connection” are frequently interchangeable words. To accomplish my investigation I will interview and record several school´s administrators. The purposeof my investigation is to determine if Colegio La Ceiba has been successfully managed.










































Theoretical Framework


Starting a private school is a lengthy, complicated process, in which you will need time, money and support. When managing a school there are certain things you should always keep in mind. Aschool needs to have systems that helps create the conditions for staff members and students to work effectively together. Effective communication is the basis for success, everyone appreciates simple clear goals. If a school wants to be competitive in this market it would not only need the MINED accreditation but also an international accreditation. Several small schools in San Salvador have thisalready therefore this makes them even more appealing for parents looking for a bilingual education, La Ceiba lacks this competitive edge. These are some basic steps and ideas that can help you when opening and managing a private school.
