How I discovered words: A homemade education.
“I knew right there in prison that reading had changed forever the course of my life”. Thisshort story expended the way I see the knowledge. The humans due to their nature choose the easy way. Sometimes, for the example that they hador to being part of the current society. Through this lecture I understood that without an extensive vocabulary our reading is slow andcomprehension is poor. I would say that most people can’t understand a text or the meaning of a word. I remember my college board; I didn’t know themeaning of many words that were necessary to understand the whole text. This caused some frustration in me just like Malcom felt in the beginning ofthe reading. Vocabulary is a strategy to improve our reading and understanding. Education and knowledge, loving each day to learn more, makes usbetter persons. I’m a hundred percent agree that the most important value of all humans is the knowledge. A preparation of an academic educationopens doors and let us to be mentally alive. Malcom spent months far away from the world, writing the dictionary’s words, reading and learning.Acquired this useful strategy that opened his future to a world of possibilities. I liked so much when he said:” I never had been so truly free inmy life” knowledge, education and reading make us free, able to fight for our ideals with an authentic verbal battle and with some wise reasoning.
