1. Rumbo.es, the leading online travel agent in Spain, launched a new service to tackle the economic crisis.

Rumbo.es is now theleading online travel agent in Spain, having approximately more than three and a half millions of clients. As a big company rumbo.es always tries to launch new service in order to attract travellers.On 10 of April 2012, rumbo.es launches a new service, which is, paying their hotel bookings in instalments (they can pay it in 2 or 3 times without charged any interest). The only requirement isthat travellers have to book 21 days before. Rombo.es gives reward to those travellers who planned their trips in advance. If the traveller books the hotel 21 days in advance, they can pay it in twoinstalments, whilst travellers who book their hotel 30days or more in advance can pay it in 3 instalments.

There is no limit in the amount of people, destiny, and also the price. You can bookanywhere, travel with as many persons as you want.

My personal view:

This kind of service is such a creative way to attract people. In this case they are segmenting and targeting people which are incrisis. As we all know that now Spain is in a deep crisis, people just can’t afford expensive prices for holiday. By paying this in two or three instalments can help a lot for travellers. In crisis timethere are a lot of people stressed, indeed they need holiday. Rumbo.es is entering the market correctly by launching this kind of service.
