What is human trafficking?
"Trafficking in persons" shall mean the recruitment, transportation, transfer, harboring or receipt of persons, by means of threat or use of force or other forms of coercion, of abduction, of fraud, of deception, of the abuse of power or of a position of vulnerability or of the giving or receiving of payments or benefits to achieve the consent of a person havingcontrol over another, the purpose of exploitation. Exploitation shall include, at a minimum, the exploitation of the prostitution of others or other forms of sexual exploitation, forced labor or services, slavery or practices similar to slavery, servitude or the removal of organs.
It is necessary to distinguish this type of crime, trafficking in persons, one that is more socially widespread, thesmuggling of migrants, and both terms are often confused. Migrants by means facilitating the illegal entry of a person into a State Party of which the person is not a national or permanent resident to obtain, directly or indirectly, a financial or other material benefit.

Human trafficking is clearly defined in the "Protocol Palermo" as aserious violation of human rights, as an activity exploitative achieved through means which are based on the vulnerability of the victims.
For its part, the Protocol to Prevent, Suppress and Punish Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children, supplementing the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (15 November 2000), known as the "Palermo Protocol" first definedthe concept of "human trafficking"

So when we speak of "Human Trafficking" we mean people they aredeceived yet forced by traffickers to cross situations against their will and in slavery.
The question has always exploitation (sexual exploitation, exploitation labor, slavery or similar situations, removal of organs, etc.). Meanwhile, according to the geographical area where it can be done internal (when given within the borders of a country) or international (when the victim crosses a border,legally or illegally).
Keep in mind that we are referring to a different offense called the smuggling of migrants, although often confused.

What is trafficking
of children
and adolescents?
It is hard to imagine that at the present time we can still talk about slavery. Human trafficking is evidence that there are still violations human rights which are forms of slavery. This problem affectsmainly women, children and adolescents. This material will primarily address trafficking for exploitation commercial sex as a new form of slavery, sometimes called "Prostitution", because this crime has spread so disturbing recent years in the region. This method comprises cases of abduction of children and adolescents to transform them into true slaves, deprived of all rights, power objects ofothers who direct their actions and life itself. There is also another form of trafficking, labor trafficking, dealing to drag workers, sometimes with their children, to keep them in captivity as they are exploited in agriculture, workshops who make clothes and different occupations.

conditions of slavery?Why talk about slavery?
• Because there is a loss of freedom, dignity and identity of the person.
• Because they are unable to exercise their rights.
