Executive summary

This assignment is going to talk about the problem that is being happening in brand Hyatt around the world, specifically in Mexico and the united states of Americas, because it is beinghappening some complains, especially in the housekeeper department, because of the hard work is being happening some injuries and according to the complains they don’t have enough time to heal, no days off, and the pay is not enough, the assignment is going to discuss if there is any ethic dilemma or any laws that are being brooked, in the point of view as an employee and as a stakeholder, describehow do we manage the same problem if we where managers and we are in the same situation and we are going to be discuss some ethical frameworks, pure theories, hybrid theories and CSR approaches as a employee.

What is the ethical dilemma described in this case? Have any laws been broken? Consider this from the perspective of the various stakeholders involved. What are the ethical issuesinvolved?

There are some housekeepers that they just want to take advantage of the big companies, normally the housekeepers are people with not too much education, they are easy to influenced, so I am pretty sure that there is one person behind all this, trying to take advantage of the ignorance of the law that the housekeepers have, because there is no broken laws, the housekeepers have their breaks,pay, rights, days off, etc., they are just saying that it is a hard work, that is why they get pay that amount per hour otherwise they will be pay less and when they accept the job they knew that it was a hard work, physically, like any other job, example the construction workers, they know that is hard and with risk, they are not complaining, in the other hand if they want a job such as a doctorthat is not hard physical work, they need to go to the school for many years, and spend a lot of time and money in the education, but the housekeepers decided the easy way, that is no school, no education, just work, so they need to be grateful that there is a company like Hyatt, trying to make better persons and with the opportunity of growing in the industry as a housekeeper managers of manyother positions, instead of being complaining , because of all of the past points, can be able to be sure that Hyatt is not doing anything wrong, nothing, just being blackmail by a group of people parasites of the society, that they don’t like to study, they don’t like to work, they just manipulated the people to take advantage of them, like the syndicated.

In Mexico the problem with Hyatt wasthat many of the employees were in the syndicated and the syndicated start to ask for many extremely unnecessary things, such as pay-work for just seven hours plus one hour of break paid, things that by law it is not possible and as well it is not profitable, so they start to do many strikes but, with the excuse that the housekeepers where doing lots of unethical physical work, but it wasn’t true,so the arrangement that they did was give money to the worker to finish the contracts with Hyatt and they hired new staff but this time, with the condition that they were not able to be in a syndicated, (that is illegal), how they make sure that that happen?. Because at the same time that they sign the contract they sign the resign as well, that is a really smart thing to do, but really unethical,because according to the law with the years that you work you have the right to have annual leave, vacations, etc., and with the resignation signed, they just skip that part, not paying the things that they should, the company start to saved a lot of money and control the employees a lot more, and why the employees accept the work, because of the unemployment rate that we have in Mexico, the...
