Fluid Power
Itis the use of fluids under pressure to generate, control, and transmit power.

Hydraulic drive system
A hydraulic drive system is a drive or
transmissionsystem that uses pressurized hydraulic fluid to drive hydraulic machinery
- The generator
- Valves, filters, piping etc.
- The motor
Hydraulic motor
A hydraulic motor is a mechanicalactuator that converts hydraulic pressure and flow into
torque and angular displacement (rotation).
The hydraulic motor is the rotary counterpart
of the hydraulic cylinder.
Operation ofhydraulic motor
- Inlet, outlet
- Drive Shaft
A hydraulic motor should be interchangeable with a hydraulic pump because it performs
the opposite function - much as the conceptual DC electricmotor is interchangeable with a DC electrical generator.
Most hydraulic pumps cannot be used as hydraulic motors because they cannot be
backdriven. Also, a hydraulic motor is usuallydesigned for the working pressure at both sides of the motor.
Hydraulic pumps, motors, and cylinders can be combined into hydraulic drive systems.
One or more hydraulic pumps, coupled to one or morehydraulic motors, constitutes a hydraulic transmission.
Hydrostatic
The transfer of energy from flow and pressure, not from the kinetic energy of the
flow.
Hydrostatic motor
In aremote hydrostatic motor system, the hydrostatic motors can be simple gear
motors or piston motors.
When the motor is manufactured as part of the complete set as in the U systems or on
line, the motor is piston type. The motor rotation speed can not be changed unless you change the volume of oil it receives from the pump. Remember that a column of oil to the motor spins at a given...
