In the United States of America has always been a great conflict about the Immigration Laws, people that agree that illegalize people that come to America should be legalize and other people that think that they shouldn’t be legalize. This debate has been for many years in the U.S. this Immigration Laws it’s most likely refer to legalizing Hispanics which includes Mexicans,Guatemala, and all the South America Countries. “Immigration legislation sites for the resurgence of contradiction between capital and the state, between economic and political imperatives, between the ëpush-pullí of markets and the maintenance of civil rights and is riddled with conflicts as the state attempts to control through law what is also an economically driven phenomenon”. In 1990 PresidentGeorge Herbert W. Bush sign the “Immigration Act”, after it became law, the United States would admit 700,000 new immigrants annually, up from 500,000 before the bill's passage. The new system continued to favor people with family members already in the United States, but added 50,000 "diversity visas" for countries from which few were emigrating as well as 40,000 permanent job-related visas and65,000 temporary worker visas.
“This Act recognizes the fundamental importance and historic contributions of immigrants to our country. S. 358 accomplish what this Administration sought from the outset of the immigration reform process: a complementary blending of our tradition of family reunification with increased immigration of skilled individuals to meet our economic needs.” – President GeorgeHerbert W. Bush said after singing the act. Now in this days once again the Immigration issue has affected many of Hispanics families, the separation of parents and their children has been one of the major discussions. Health care is also a discussion; many Immigrants can’t afford health care, which sometimes there unable to pay medical bills. Education which implicates high school unable to go tocollege for their minimum incomes, there so societies that help immigrant students (AB-540 students) with a small part of money to go to college but not like the financial Aid that the government gives to the citizen students. The Dream Act that allows students to go to college and after having a college degree will be able to have their citizenship but unfortunately it was decline but therefounders and the students haven’t gave up yet there still fighting and hoping that one day their dream will come true.
One of the major advantages of an Immigration Reform would be Economic it will increase to $1.5 trillion per 10 years and it will decrease deportation-policy in $2.6 trillion in Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per 10 years, which includes approximately $1.2 trillion in consumption and$256 billion in investment. It will also help to higher earning power of newly legalized workers would mean increased tax revenues of $4.5-$5.4 billion in the first three years. Twelve million additional people can start paying into social security, these additional workers is precisely what social security needs to fund the increase of baby boomers that are receiving social security benefits. Oneof the most important benefits of this Immigration Reform will be that “families will not be torn apart” parents and the children will no longer be afraid of been separated, in this cases the parents are send to the native country and the children are send to child services to live in foster homes when their parents cannot do anything about it.
The disadvantage of an Immigration Reform would bethe overpopulation this fact is partially explained by the scares amount of natural resources, like minerals, water and land. Many environmental experts believe, that because of the overpopulation the consumption of these resources increased greatly and that they should be limited for the immigrants.
