Abstract— The results of modeling process at CDS – UTEZ using the open software Bizagi Process Modeler are presented in this report. Nine processes in total conforms the process workflow of CDS – UTEZ, according to MoProSoft model, all of them were modeled. A practical andfriendly solution was developed and implemented following the rules of modeling itself and all the process. The result is an efficient graphical tool that lets identify easily all activities related with a specific process, and the different links with other process or even sub-process inside of it. In addition it lets identify very clear and easily the improvement opportunities, which is helpful inorder to reduce the learning curve of a new worker at CDS or even a CDS worker, working in a different process.

Introduction

Center of software development of Universidad Tecnológica Emiliano Zapata del Estado de Morelos, CDS1 – UTEZ, is a PYME (small and medium factory, Pequeña y MedianaEmpresa2). It offers technological services about software engineering, oriented to the development of innovative tools of software development under quality standards. Nowadays, CDS has the verification of level 3 of process capacity for the quality standard for software development NMX – 1 – 059 – NYCE – 20113. According to MoProSoft4 model, CDS dynamic works involves nine process, Fig.1. [pic]Figure 1. Processes of CDS workflow.

There is no process modeling for the nine process listed above. All the processes are already documented and each one has the documents required for MoProSoft. This is the reason why process management and documents compression take a lot of time in men hours. Therefore there is no procedure in order to optimize the time to get the planned results in a timelymanner. Working based on MoProSoft model lets to PYME´s work under a consistent and systematized quality control about its processes and documents related to them. Therefore products quality becoming from them is guaranteed. A tool for process and document management is needed in order to have an optimized work flow and a general overview in such way CDS has a good process and documentstraceability. Process management discipline has been evolving through the history of industrial engineering, Fig. 2.

Business Process Management (BPM) shows up like the solution for this CDS issue. BPM is a powerful tool in the aim to get a wide picture about all process and sub-process, with their related documents of them, given aclear way to follow different links about documents and process.


Bussiness Process Managment

BPM Is a group of methods, tools and technologies used for design, represent, analyze and control for business processes. BPM is a focus on processes to improve performance that combines information technologies with methodologies and control process. Is a collaboration activity between businesspeople and technologists to promote effective, streamlined and transparent business processes, encompassing people, systems, functions, businesses, customers, suppliers and partners9-11, Fig. 3.
