Technology is all "set of own knowledge of mechanical trades and industrial arts." The large modern factories, with their complicated mechanisms and wonderful industrial processes developed in them, all demonstrate the technological progress.
When we talk about technology, just come to mind words such ascomputers, video games, CDs, etc., without thinking that this word refers to any number of machines or tools driven by a non-human force, but it has to be directed by man. These machines could be from as small items like calculators and watches to cars, airplanes, or the aforementioned famous and computers. Note that several of these machines work on their own but it was a man who started it and whocan stop.

Technology, with its pros and cons, has developed wonderfully and has allowed life to be prolonged, it improves the health system and have advanced production methods and distribution of different things like growing food, clothing, etc. Technology has also contributed to the development of new manufacturing techniques and has made communication and transportationare faster and more efficient.
The world has shrunk due to advances in modern technology. So much so that now it has become essential for the functional development of the country. We have reached the point that a society without technology is like a prehistoric society. Everywhere, from our homes to the outskirts of them, we have more than three technologically modern items ranging from atelevision, compact disc component or microwave, to the car when we travel to stores, cash registers with "scanners", air conditioning, traffic lights, etc. Inclusive schools have begun placing computers to train children from four years old.
Our libraries, whether school, university, public or specialist are no exception. In them we see the technical and productive advance of modern technologyto observe the different tools used in the instructional process. Tools that positively influence the processes of teaching and learning that have arisen because of a great need to know.
These tools are helpful in education today as they contribute to mass indoctrination, they stimulate the senses and increase learning effectiveness. This is where the technological means fall and why itsimportance.
By using technological resources in the library, objectify the content of education, in addition to link the theory with practice. Not the same talk about the Tainos and verbally describe, to observe a film by indigenous people in real clothes and huts. Here comes a technological resource: videotape and the video cassette, medium sweetens the teaching-learning process and makes themotivation of students to rise. Another example would be what we call virtual reality; where we would be another Indian tribe and the village could go and even play your cookware or game, allowing lead to difficult realities of classroom study in the wild.

Technology evolves agigantadamente so we have had to replace a few other tools in almost the blink of an eye. Examples include overheadsor slides that have been replaced by video films, which show vividly the reality; razors by computers, further corrected and printed material; fans for air conditioners, which are used to cool or heat depending on the place or time of year; and 33 LP albums or cassettes to compact discs, laser system, etc.
Librarians have not lost interest or become discouraged in front of the new technology. Onthe contrary, it has eased the work of librarians who have decided to take courses and trainings to master the new equipment and be at the forefront of modern technology.
