Increase the price of the gasoline
From this Saturday 08 September, gasoline prices have a further upward movement, according to the Mexican Association of Entrepreneurs gas station (AMEGAS).Accordingly, Premium gasoline will rise 8 cents and 11 pesos per liter cost 10 cents. Also, gasoline Magna, which is the most consumed in the country, and Diesel price rise 9 cents.
Specifically, theMagna was sold at 10.54 pesos per liter and diesel to 10 pesos and 90 centavos per liter as we can see in the chart below:

It is noteworthy that, after these increases, the price of Magna and theDiesel mark a cumulative increase of 91 cents each so far this year. The Premium, meanwhile, has increased by 51 cents in price since January.
The Bank of Mexico anticipated since late last year that therising price of gasoline, coupled with tax changes that were implemented this year, would have an effect on consumer price inflation to close the year at 5%.

The issue price of gasoline in Mexicois often controversial. For some, it is a key economic price to be frozen to avoid inflationary pressures, for others, should be determined in the same way that the price of tomatoes is, by supply anddemand, for some more, its price should simply be equal to the price in the U.S. or any other international reference, for those who care about the environment, gas prices should be very high todiscourage use and internalize their negative effects on the environment.
