VERBS:
Regular verbs:

Regular verbs are the most common English and have a fundamental characteristic that distinguishes them. These verbs form the past participle and the appending-ED. E.g.work-work, pray, pray. The difficulty of these verbs is to the pronunciation of these and past participle in-ED.
May want to warn of any such principle that past and past participle is pronounced / ed /, have three possible pronunciations depending on the consonant that precedes the ending-ED. Thus:
1 .- If the regular verb in the infinitive ends in a voiceless consonant (voiceless) and / k / o / p /,then the past and / or participle of the verb is pronounced / t /. E.g. Worked
w / kt / or stopped / stopt /
2 .- If the regular verb in the infinitive ends in a consonant sound (voiced) such as / n / o / l /, past and / or participle is pronounced with the sound / d / as in cleaner / kli: nd / or Killer / kilda /
3 .- if the very last regular verb in the infinitive ends in "t" or "d", thepronunciation of the past and / or participle is / id /. E.g. painted / peint / or decide / disaidid.
Note: Regular verbs ending in-e, of course not aden-ED in the past and / or participle but only to aden-D, as in love-loved, smoke, smoked

Irregular verbs:
These verbs, as its name suggests, behave erratically and to form their past participles. In fact we could make three points depending on theform stated. There are irregular verbs:
a. - have three times the same as To cut-cut-cut, to put-put-put, to Set-September to September
b. - They are the same as past participle of bring-Brought To-broght, to tell-Told-Told, to buy-bought-bought
c. - have three different times as To speak-spoke-spoken, to see-saw-seen, to fly-flew-flown
There are about 240 irregular verbs, although it is true, are increasing year on year while others become regular.
