The release includes updated firmware for Ultrium 1760 (LTO–4) SAS tape drives. HP StorageWorks Library and Tape Tools (HP L&TT)must be used to download firmware to the tape drive. Drive firmware version: U52D Update recommendation Supersedes U29D Recommended

Enhancements
Improved performance with HP's new Proliant RAID smart arraycontrollers (P212, P410, P411, P712). (The issue of the large Transport Layer Retry occurrence when SAS tape drives were attached to these HBAs has been fixed by reducing the frame credit to 1.)

FixesThere was a potential hang issue for Open Reject (Retry) but this has now been fixed.

Installation instructions
Use HP StorageWorks Library & Tape Tools (L&TT) to update the tape drive firmware. Youcan download L&TT from http://www.hp.com/support/tapetools. Online help and instructions are included with the utility.
