RESUMEN EJECUTIVO
El presente trabajo ha sido desarrollado para poner en práctica los
conocimientos adquiridos durante nuestra carrera, realizando un análisis
exhaustivo sobre el comercio exterior ecuatoriano especialmente con Estados
Unidos y China, esperando que este material sirva de fuente de información y
guía para nuevos proyectos.
Hemos considerado importanterealizar un estudio para “ANÁLISIS DE
TENDENCIAS

DE

COMERCIO

DE

BIENES

Y

SERVICIOS

ENTRE

ECUADOR-ESTADOS UNIDOS; ECUADOR-CHINA DURANTE EL PERIODO
2000-2010” considerando que los cambios que se dan en la economía mundial
obligan a los distintos países a buscar alternativas para mejorar la inserción de
sus productos en mercados internacionales, de tal manera que permitamejorar
la calidad de los mismos, generar fuentes de empleo y captar un mayor nivel de
ingresos provenientes del extranjero.
Cabe la pena destacar los esfuerzos realizados por el gobierno ecuatoriano
para cambiar la matriz productiva con el fin de generar un mayor valor
agregado a nuestros productos lo que les permitirá competir en los mercados
extranjeros.
El modelo de ecuacionesgravitacionales demostró que el firmar acuerdos
comerciales favorece la reducción de las barreras que en muchas de las
ocasiones impiden la inserción de los productos nacionales, además que
factores como el idioma, frontera común no son determinantes del comercio
internacional.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This work has been developed to implement the knowledge acquired during our
career, performing a comprehensive analysis of the Ecuadorian foreign trade
especially with the U.S. and China, hoping that this material serve as a source
of information and guidance for new projects.
Weconsidered it important to conduct a study to “ANÁLISIS DE TENDENCIAS

considering that the changes occurring in the global economy force individual
countries alternatives to improve the inclusion of their products in international
markets, so that to improve the quality ofthem, generate jobs and attract higher
levels of foreign income.
It is worth noting the efforts of the Ecuadorian government to change the
productive in order to generate greater value to our products allowing them to
compete

in

foreign

markets.

The gravitational equation model showed that the sign trade agreements helps
reduce the barriers that prevent many occasions the inclusion ofdomestic
products, in addition to factors such as language, common border are not
determinants of international trade.
