Abstract
We are going to do a comparative study between the efficiency of two kinds of thermodynamic
motors, one of helix of water vapor and a Stirling. Apart, we will try out the efficiency obtained with different
fuels using the motor that works out with being most efficient to determine with fuel is the most optimum with
the most efficient motor.
We made the corresponding motors and carried out the test to obtain each motor’s efficiency
analyzing their temperature variation and their move’s kinematic by equations.
The results are showed in the table 1:
table 1: results of the efficiency of thermodynamic motors:
Stirling engine
Motor of helix and water vapor
Work ( W ) (joule)
8,80539 ∙ 10 −5
134,0047 ∙10−4
Heat ( Q) (joule)
73600
1384809,4
Efficiency ( E) (%)
11,58605 ∙ 10 −7%
9,67612 ∙ 10−7%
With this it comes to the conclusion that the Stirling engine has a better efficiency.
