Remanufacturing Instructions
Samsung CLP500/550 Reset Resistor

1. Use a small screw driver to
release the two locking pinsthat
secure the contact assembly to
the cartridge (Fig. 1).

2. Use a soldering iron to remove the
resistor from the two contact points
(Fig. 2).

3. Place thecontact housing in a
secure device. Use needle nose pliers
to hold the resistor wire. Heat the
solder to remove the resistor on both
contacts as indicated
(Fig. 3).

4. Once the resistor is removed, clean
both contact points of remaining
solder.
NOTE: Make sure that the remaining
resistor is stillsoldered to the two
contact points (Fig. 4). If this resistor is
not making contact, the printer will not
recognize the cartridge.

5. Connect the new resistor Oasis
Part#SCCHCLP550 (Fig. 5) to the 2
contacts tabs (Fig. 5a).

6. Once the resistor is connected to
both contacts, snap the housing back
into thecartridge (Fig. 6).
