Foreword
The objective of the present projecting instructions is to put the expert reader
into a position to calculate important technical datafor a complete drive on
the basis of given technical specifications and thus to be able to project a
hydraulic speed control with switching directional valves.

These projecting instructions mainly refer to translatory
drives. However, the contents can also be applied to rotary
systems without any difficulty.
These instructions assume that a hydraulic actuator is available as part of
thespeed drive and does therefore only focus on the design and rating of
speed controls.
