Saul Hudson (born July 23, 1965), known by his stage name Slash, is a British-American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the former leadguitarist of the American hard rock, band gun and roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During his later years with Guns N'Roses, Slash formed the side project Slash’s snakepit. He then co-founded the super group Velvet revolver, which re-established him as a mainstream performer in themid to late 2000s. In 2010, Slash released his eponymous debut album, featuring an all-star roster of guest musicians. His second album, Apocalyptic Love , recordedwith his band, was released on May 22, 2012.

Santana became famous in the late 1960s and early 1970s with his band, Santana, which pioneered rock, Latin music and jazz fusion. Santana continued to work in these forms over the following decades. He experienced a resurgence of popularity and critical acclaim in the late 1990s. In2003, Rolling Stone magazine listed Santana at number 15 on their list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time. He has won 10 Grammy Awards and 3 Latin GrammyAwards.
