Ingles Comparative Adjectives "Er" And "Est"
It is very common to compare things using adjectives, for example: 'That car is small but the other is smaller. "These are called comparativeadjectives.
Must learn the superlative form of the adjectives in relation to its comparative form, since they are related. For example in the case of the adjective 'small', 'smaller' is the comparativeform and 'smaller' is the superlative form.
Rules for forming the comparative and superlative
1.-At most adjectives will add an 'er' at the end to form the comparative and 'est' to form thesuperlative.
For example
My apartment is small
My brother’s apartment is smaller
Amanda’s apartment is the smallest
2.- If the adjective ends in 'e', only adds an 'r' for thecomparative and 'st' for the superlative:

3. Some adjectives ending in a consonant, double the final consonant to form the comparative and superlative, as follows:

4. When the adjective ends in 'y', you change the 'y' for an 'i' and added to the final 'er' to form the comparative and'est' to form the superlative, as follows:
