TRADITIONAL STYLE
Traditional clothing can be very stylish. In fact, if you look at today´s high fashion, you´ll see ideas borrowed fromtraditional styles. Here are some beautiful traditional items of clothing from around the world.
Men in this country wear a kilt on special occasions. It´s a short wool skirt, usually plaid. You wearit with a wide black belt. Men say it´s warm and comfortable.
Women wear a kokoshnik on special occasions in this country. This headdress is made of cloth and can be round or pointed. It sits ontop of the head, and is decorated with embroidered designs. Beads often hang down to cover the woman´s hair and forehead.
Men and women in this country sometimes wear a kilt on specials occasions.It´s a beautiful multi colored piece of cloth. You wear it over the arms to make a dress.
In the summer, men and women in this country sometimes wear a yukata to festivals. It´s a light cotton robe witha sash. Women´s robes are usually blue and white.
